Infinote Home with Recent, Starred and Capture a note

One notebook, one app

Write by hand. Keep it close.

Use the page as you always do.

Pen on paper. The notebook stays the place where ideas begin.

Frame the page. Keep it.

Handwriting, printed documents and ordinary pages become part of your digital library in the Infinote app.

Check the copy. Then clear the page.

Once the digital copy is saved and legible, follow your notebook's care instructions and reuse a supported page.

What Infinote does

From the page, to what’s next.

Begin with the page.

Frame the whole page in even light. Infinote can correct perspective and crop the surroundings of your page.

From your notebook to your next step

Write · Scan · Understand · Organise · Act · Reuse

01 Capture

Begin with the page.

Keep handwriting, printed documents and ordinary pages in your digital library.

Infinote Home with Recent, Starred and Capture a note
How do I capture my first page?

Open Capture in the Infinote app. Place the page flat, frame the whole page in even light and hold your device steady. Page processing can correct perspective, crop surroundings and improve readability before recognition.

Capture is separate from generative intelligence: a page does not need cloud AI simply to become part of your library. Review the saved digital copy before clearing a reusable page.

Do I need an Infinote notebook to use the app?

You can capture handwritten notes, printed documents and ordinary notebook pages. An Infinote notebook gives you a writing object to use alongside the app; supported reusable pages can be cleared once you have checked the digital copy.

How can I improve a blurred or uneven scan?

Clean the camera lens, flatten the page and avoid glare or strong shadows. Keep the camera facing the page rather than at an angle. Capture again, then inspect the writing in the digital copy.

Where can I change my capture preferences?

Open You, then Text Recognition, and review Capture preferences. The available settings cover naming, save location, quality and format. Choose the settings that suit the pages you are keeping.

When can I clear a reusable page?

First check that the complete page is saved and legible in the app. If you need a copy in another destination, verify that copy too. Then follow the care instructions for your notebook edition.

Does recognition replace my original page?

No. The captured page is the source material. Recognised text, summaries and extracted actions are additional layers. Return to Original when layout, handwriting, a drawing or an uncertain transcription matters; use Text for supported search and processing.

Do I need generative AI to capture or organise notes?

No. Capturing, saving, opening and organising notes do not depend on generative AI. Document processing and supported OCR are separate from intelligence. In the normal text workflow, OCR recognises the writing first; intelligence then works with the recognised information.

02 Organise and find

A place for every thread.

Bring related notes together, then return to the thought you need.

Infinote Spaces with pinned spaces and Create a space
What is the difference between Home and Spaces?

Home brings Recent and Starred notes close by. Spaces gives related notes a shared place, such as a project, subject or area of life.

How should I organise my notes?

Start with a few Spaces that reflect how you work. Create a Space for a project or subject, give it a clear name and use pinned Spaces for the ones you return to. Spaces also offers A–Z sorting and management controls.

How do keyword search and Semantic Search differ?

Keyword search looks for literal words in recognised text. Semantic Search looks for meaning: a note about revised packaging prices could be relevant to a search for “supplier cost discussion”, even if those exact words are absent. Complete its required model download and setup first. Recognition and retrieval can be imperfect; clear names and organisation still matter.

Why can I not find a note?

Check Recent, Starred and the Space where you expected to save it. Check the account you are using and, for text search, the recognised text. If the note still appears missing, contact support before clearing app data or reinstalling.

Can search and retrieval happen locally?

Supported keyword search and semantic retrieval can run locally when the required components and indexes are available. Semantic retrieval compares representations of meaning to find relevant passages. Complete the model setup shown in Semantic Search before expecting its supported local workflow to work offline.

03 Understand

Return to what matters.

Recognise text, summarise a page and ask about your notes.

Infinote Memory with Create summary, Meetings and Reminders
How does Text Recognition work?

Text Recognition converts supported handwriting and printed content into machine-readable text. The usual text workflow is OCR-first: the page becomes recognised text before intelligence works with that information.

The captured page remains the source. Original preserves the visual writing; Text gives you recognised information for search, copying and supported intelligence workflows. Text editing depends on the app version.

Which recognition option should I choose?

On-Device Recognition is shown in the app as free and available offline. Cloud Recognition offers enhanced processing for complex pages and languages, needs an internet connection and uses credits. Review current usage in the app.

Why are some words recognised incorrectly?

Handwriting and page quality can affect recognition. Check the captured image for blur, glare or missing edges, then compare the recognised text with the original. Recognition is useful, but it is not a guarantee of accuracy.

How do I create a summary?

Open Memory and choose Create summary. You can scan a note, choose an existing note or paste text. A summary can bring together main ideas, decisions and follow-ups.

It is a derived result: it does not replace the captured page or recognised text. Review it against the source before using it for a decision. Where the relevant processing mode is available, a result can be produced again from the source.

What is Ask Notes?

Ask Notes lets you ask questions about information in your notes, such as “What did we decide about packaging?” or “What follow-ups did I write down?” It retrieves relevant note content for the selected intelligence engine. It is designed for note-based answers rather than substituting unrelated internet information. Generated interpretations can be wrong, so verify important details against the original.

How should I scope a question in Ask Notes?

Use the whole library for a broader topic, a Space for one project, or selected notes for a specific comparison where the current workflow supports that scope. A narrower context helps keep unrelated material out of the answer.

For example, ask what changed across selected supplier meetings rather than asking about every note in your library. Verify the answer against the underlying material.

Can Ask Notes work offline?

Supported Ask Notes workflows can run locally when the appropriate Aurelius model and retrieval components are installed on a compatible device. Cloud Intelligence remains a separate choice requiring internet access. Check the available mode and model status in the app.

Does a summary change my original note?

No. Summaries and answers are derived information. Your original page and recognised text remain separate. Where source information is available, a Memory item preserves its relationship to the originating note so you can return to it. You can generate another output where the relevant processing mode is available.

04 Act and focus

Make the next step clear.

Review a meeting, keep a reminder and give one task your attention.

Infinote focus screen with Pomodoro Technique and Stopwatch
Can my notes become a meeting?

Infinote can turn recognised meeting information into a structured draft: title, date, time, people, location and context. Review and edit the draft, choose the applicable calendar or meeting service, then create the meeting.

Missing details such as duration may be prefilled for review; a default is not something found in your handwriting. Meeting views can include Upcoming, Past and To Review, separating information needing confirmation from a completed next step.

How do reminders fit into the app?

Tasks, dates and follow-ups in notes can become reminder drafts. Review the action, date and time before saving. Where source information is available, the reminder stays linked to the note it came from.

Reminder views can include Upcoming, Today, To Review and Completed. Device notifications require permission and depend on system settings, reminder configuration and background policies.

What can I use for a focus session?

Pomodoro Technique provides focus intervals. Stopwatch lets you track a session as you go. Add Focus Note gives you a place to keep a thought associated with the session.

What is the Eisenhower Matrix?

The Eisenhower Matrix organises tasks into four combinations of urgency and importance: urgent and important, important but not urgent, urgent but not important, and neither. Use it to consider priorities; the judgement stays yours.

What is Countdown?

Countdown keeps upcoming dates in view. Add a milestone or event you want to track, and review the date as your plans change. Meetings and Reminders have their own supported workflows.

What should I check if a reminder does not notify me?

Check the reminder date and time, Infinote notification permission, system notification settings and Focus or Do Not Disturb. Operating-system background and battery policies can also affect delivery. Creating a reminder does not bypass those controls.

What does To Review mean?

To Review identifies extracted meeting or reminder information that needs confirmation. Check ambiguous handwriting, relative dates, people and times before saving an action. Missing meeting details, such as duration, may be prefilled for review; a default is not information found in your note.

05 Connect

Send it where you work.

Connect a destination or calendar, and check the details before sending.

Which destinations can I connect?

In You, open Where Infinote sends and choose Set up destinations. The current screenshots show Google Drive, Dropbox, Microsoft OneDrive, OneNote and Box. The technical source also describes email where supported.

Choose the provider and follow its authorisation prompts. Availability can vary by platform, account and app version. Sending exports a copy; the note remains in Infinote unless you deliberately delete it.

Can I share a note through my device?

Share uses your device’s standard share sheet to send through installed apps and system options. Send or Destination uses a connection configured inside Infinote for a chosen account or folder.

Depending on the workflow, exports can include PDF or JPEG, and multi-page captures can be combined into one document. Recognised text may be included where supported. Check the available format, content and recipient before sending.

Which calendars and meeting services are shown?

Calendars & meetings currently shows Apple Calendar, Google Calendar and Microsoft Teams. Other connected workflows described in the app documentation include Microsoft Outlook and Google Meet, where the platform, account, permissions and service configuration allow them. Follow the options available in your app; you can also connect a calendar while creating a meeting.

Why will a destination or calendar not connect?

Check your connection, the account you selected and the authorisation message. Work or school accounts may have organisation restrictions. If the problem continues, send support the exact error with account details removed from screenshots.

Does a destination stay synchronised with my Infinote note?

Sending creates a copy rather than permanent two-way synchronisation. Later changes to the Infinote note do not necessarily update the exported file. Export again when you need a fresh copy.

An export is also not a complete backup of the library and its relationships. Previously exported files are managed through the destination provider, including after a connection is removed.

What happens if an upload fails?

The source note remains locally available. Check connectivity, account authorisation, destination permissions, folder access and available external storage. Retry the export or choose another destination where appropriate, then verify the received copy.

Which formats can I export?

Depending on the workflow and destination, options can include PDF and JPEG. Supported multi-page captures can be combined into one document. Recognised text and quality options depend on the selected workflow and app version; use the options shown in your app.

What happens to exported files when I disconnect or delete my account?

Files already exported are separate from your Infinote library. Disconnecting a destination stops future use of that connection; it does not normally delete earlier copies. Deleting an Infinote account does not remove files already copied to an external service. Manage those files through the destination provider.

06 Privacy and support

Choose how notes are processed.

Understand your intelligence options, downloads and permissions.

Infinote settings with Private, Built-in and Cloud Intelligence
What is Infinote Intelligence™?

Infinote Intelligence™ is the platform connecting capture, recognition, search, summaries, Ask Notes, organisation and useful actions. Aurelius™ is its private pre-trained on-device model for supported intelligent workflows. Your captured page stays the source of truth; recognised text, summaries and extracted actions are additional layers around it.

How do Private, Built-in and Cloud Intelligence differ?

Private Intelligence uses Aurelius on your compatible device; supported workflows can work offline after the required model download. Built-in Intelligence uses on-device capabilities without an additional model download. Cloud Intelligence requires a connection and transmits relevant information for remote processing. A workflow can combine more than one layer.

Does everything work offline?

Connectivity depends on the workflow, device and installed components. Core capture, local saving, opening saved notes and organisation can operate locally. Supported on-device recognition, search and Aurelius workflows can work offline when downloads and indexes are ready. Cloud processing, initial downloads, updates, authentication, destination uploads and online calendar services need a connection.

Can I choose intelligence for individual features?

The app offers Default Intelligence and Per-feature Intelligence. Review the selection for the feature you are using rather than assuming every action uses the same processing option. For a supported request processed entirely by Aurelius, the generative operation happens on your device. Cloud Intelligence is a separate remote processing choice.

Where do I manage downloads and permissions?

Open You to find Manage Downloads, Privacy & Security and App Permissions. Check the current model status and storage requirement in the app; sizes and device requirements can change.

Camera access supports capture. Photos or Files access may support import/export, Notifications supports alerts, and calendar or external-account authorisation applies to the relevant connection. The permission experience differs between iOS and Android.

Camera access supports capture; notifications support alerts; file and calendar permissions depend on the workflow. Connected-service access is governed by the permissions requested during authorisation and the provider’s permission system. Review that screen before connecting.

How do I get help or suggest a feature?

You includes Learn Infinote, Frequently Asked Questions, Suggest a Feature, Report a Problem and Contact Support. For app help, you can also email hello@getinfinote.com. Include your device, operating system, app version, failed step and exact error. Remove personal writing and account details from screenshots.

What if Aurelius is unavailable on my device?

Review model status in Intelligence settings. A download may be incomplete, storage insufficient, verification unsuccessful or an update pending; device capability also matters.

Capture, local notes, supported recognition, search and organisation can remain useful even when a particular local generative model is unavailable. The current app indicates the options for your device.

Aurelius™ is a pre-trained on-device model, so it requires model files and sufficient device resources. Package size and capability vary by model version and device. Check current availability and requirements in the app; local processing speed depends on your device’s compute resources.

What does local-first mean for my notes?

The device library is the primary working environment for captured notes. Core local workflows do not require every operation to contact a server. A supported request processed entirely by Aurelius runs on your device rather than an external generative provider.

Online destinations and calendar services communicate with those services. Cloud processing sends relevant information for remote processing. Review the mode for the action you are taking.

Where can I read the detailed technical documentation?

The Infinote Intelligence technical guide explains Original and Text, recognition, Ask Notes, processing choices, local storage, exports, permissions and supported offline workflows. For practical walkthroughs, use Learn Infinote.
