01. Who is responsible

The Infinote online store at getinfinote.com is operated by Thoughtpilots India Private Limited, 810/836, S.NO.-19, Varthur, Munnekolal, Bengaluru (Bangalore) Urban, Karnataka 560037, India. In this policy, "we" and "Infinote" mean Thoughtpilots India Private Limited.

This policy covers the website and store. The Infinote app has its own separate Privacy Policy, which applies to the app.

02. Information collected

We collect the information needed to run the store and to answer you.

• Order information: your name, delivery and billing address, email address, phone number and the items you order.
• Payment status: payments are taken through Razorpay. We receive payment status and reference information from the payment services connected to the store.
• Support messages: what you send us by email or WhatsApp, including photographs you share about a damaged or defective item.
• Technical information that a website normally receives when it is visited, such as your IP address, browser and device type, and the pages you view.

The store runs on Shopify, which records this information on our behalf. If you give us details for any other purpose, such as an account or updates, we keep them for that purpose.

03. How information is used

We use personal information only for purposes connected to the store:

• to take, process, deliver and invoice your order;
• to handle cancellations, returns, refunds and exchanges;
• to reply to your questions and complaints;
• to keep the store secure and to prevent fraud and misuse;
• to meet legal, tax and accounting obligations, including GST invoicing;
• to send marketing messages, only where you have chosen to receive them.

We do not use your information for a purpose that is not described here without telling you first.

04. Orders and customer service

To fulfil an order we need your name, delivery address and a phone number or email address so that the courier can reach you. If you do not provide these, we cannot deliver the order.

When you contact us about an order, we use your order number and the details you send to find the order and reply. Messages sent to hello@getinfinote.com or WhatsApp are kept as a record of the conversation.

05. Marketing preferences

We send marketing messages only to people who have agreed to receive them. You can withdraw that agreement at any time, using the unsubscribe option in the message or by writing to hello@getinfinote.com.

Order and delivery messages are not marketing. They are sent so that we can complete your order.

06. Service providers

We share personal information only with the organisations that help us run the store, and only as far as their service requires.

• Shopify provides the store, checkout and order records.
• Razorpay takes payments and handles full card numbers, CVV and sensitive payment-authentication data.
• Invoicing and accounting systems receive the information needed for invoices and legal records.
• Transactional email, WhatsApp and support providers receive information needed to communicate with you and handle your request.
• Courier partners receive your name, address and contact number to deliver your order.
• Analytics, advertising and email services that we use on this site, where enabled, receive technical or contact information for the purposes described in the Cookie Policy.

We may also disclose information where the law requires it, or to a government authority that lawfully asks for it. We do not share your information with others for their own purposes.

07. International transfers

Shopify and some of the other services we use may store or process information on servers outside India. When an order is shipped abroad, the courier and customs authorities in the destination country also receive the delivery details.

Where personal information is transferred outside India, it is because the service or delivery needs it, and service providers process it subject to their contractual safeguards and applicable law.

08. Retention

We retain order, invoice, tax and accounting records for the period required by applicable law. Support records are retained as needed to resolve and document your request. Marketing-consent records are kept while we rely on consent and as needed to demonstrate it. Security logs are kept for a period proportionate to their security purpose.

We delete or anonymise information when it is no longer required and no legal obligation requires retention. You may request erasure, subject to records we must legally keep.

09. Security

We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from unauthorised access, use, change or disclosure, and we rely on the security measures of the service providers named above.

No online service can promise absolute security. If you believe your information has been misused, tell us straight away at hello@getinfinote.com.

10. Your choices and rights

You may ask us to take the following steps, subject to applicable law and any verification needed:

• ask for a summary of the personal information we process about you and who we share it with;
• ask us to correct or update information that is inaccurate or incomplete;
• ask us to erase information that is no longer needed;
• withdraw a consent you have given;
• nominate another person to exercise these rights for you in the event of your death or incapacity;
• make a complaint about how your information is handled.

Write to hello@getinfinote.com from the email address linked to your order, or give your order number, so that we can confirm the request is yours. Our privacy and grievance team handles requests through this email address. We aim to respond to data-rights requests within 30 days, subject to any shorter statutory requirement. If we cannot resolve a complaint, you may approach the Data Protection Board of India where it has jurisdiction and the relevant provisions are in force, or any other authority with jurisdiction.

11. Children

The store is intended for customers aged 18 or older. Orders for minors should be placed by a parent or legal guardian. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18 years of age. If a parent or guardian believes a child has given us information, write to hello@getinfinote.com and we will delete it.

We do not direct advertising at children.

12. Cookies

The store uses cookies and similar technologies, described in our Cookie Policy, together with how you can accept, refuse or change your choices.
